Danny Vargas Completes Stanford Graduate School of Business Scaling Program
VARCom’s President Graduated from Prestigious Executive Education Initiative
Herndon, VA – VARCom Solutions is pleased to report that on Saturday, July 11th, its president, Raul “Danny” Vargas, successfully completed the required coursework for the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Education-Scaling Program (SLEI-Ed) at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). SLEI-Ed is an immersive seven-week program providing participants with valuable scaling frameworks, a diversified network of capital providers, business mentorship, and a deep understanding of mobilizing resources for sustainable business growth and scale. The program is part of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative, a unique collaboration between the Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) and Stanford University. The “Scaling Up Your Venture” course, hosted by Stanford GSB Executive Education, is taught by world-renowned scaling expert Hayagreeva Rao, Atholl McBean Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at Stanford GSB. To qualify, participants must be Latino or Latina business owners generating $1M+ in annual gross revenue or having raised $500K of external funding.
Vargas was part of the ninth cohort of entrepreneurs to participate in the SLEI-Ed program and was comprised of nearly 70 businesspeople from around the country. Mark Madrid, CEO of LBAN, stated “Cohort 9 will go down in history as the cohort which muscled through unprecedented times, a challenging COVID-19 backdrop, societal unrest and their business/personal dynamics to complete this rigorous and prestigious program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.”

He continued, “I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to receive this education from one of the top universities in the world and to become part of such an illustrious cadre to over 600 SLEI-Ed alums. Mr. Vargas is active in numerous community service efforts. He is the Chairman of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, was appointed to the Virginia State Advisory Council to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and serves on various boards and commissions, including, Virginia’s Commission for Economic Opportunity for Aspiring and Diverse Communities, Virginia FREE, GO Virginia’s Northern Virginia Regional Council, Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, Leadership Fairfax, and more. He is also a former Chairman of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, former Chairman of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and a former candidate to the Virginia House of Delegates.
