Latino Leaders Magazine Honors Danny Vargas in its 2020 “101 Most Influential Latinos” List

Herndon, VA – VARCom Solutions is proud to announce that its President, Danny Vargas, was named by Latino Leaders Magazine among the nation’s “101 Most Influential Latinos” for 2020 in its winter edition. The 101 list contains a very comprehensive and wide view of the Latino leadership across our country. The magazine particularly highlighted Mr. Vargas’ role as Chairman of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino in addition to VARCom Solutions. Danny’s term as Chairman of the Friends group ended in December and its board voted to name him Chairman Emeritus.

Among those included in the list were luminaries in the areas of culture, arts, business, government, sports, etc. Honorees included Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria-Baston, Rosario Dawson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chef Jose Andres, Thaddeus Arroyo (CEO, AT&T Consumer), Cesar Conde (Chairman NBC Universal News Group), Oscar Munoz (Executive Chairman, United Airlines Holdings), Alex Rodriguez, Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor, Xavier Becerra (HHS Secretary nominee), Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, George P. Bush (Texas Land Commissioner), Alejandro Mayorkas (DHS Secretary), and many others. In describing the list, Latino Leaders Magazine wrote, “The leaders listed here held positions, whose actions and decisions have a direct and large influence on the outcome of many activities, strategies, and policies, most of them having a big impact on the Latino community and beyond. The influence of these individuals is not limited to the Hispanic community of the US. It is also a list of Latinos that have a great impact in our country.”

Mr. Vargas is active in numerous other community service efforts. He is the Secretary of the Virginia State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Vice Chair of Leadership Fairfax and serves on various boards and commissions, including, Virginia FREE, GO Virginia’s Northern Virginia Regional Council, and more. He is also a former Chairman of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, former Chairman of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, former Northern Virginia Transportation Commissioner, and a former candidate to the Virginia House of Delegates.
